TRADITIONS LOST

TRADITIONS LOST

Dia de los muertos is a Mexican tradition that celebrates our loved ones who have passed on to other realms. Beginning November 1st and ending on November 2nd, Mexican tradition celebrates dia de los angelitos, dia de los difuntos, and dia de los muertos. Spirits of the children, spirits of the adults, and spirits of all the dead. Parts of this celebration include calaveras (skulls), flor de muerto (flowers of the dead), and ofrendas (offerings).

Sadly, dia de los muertos is a tradition that has been lost among my family and I. The celebration of our passed loved ones is a beautiful way to honor the lives of the people we love.
